❓ FAQ
Every 100 operating hours or annually, whichever comes first. In high-humidity conditions or on older fuel tanks, replace it quarterly and drain accumulated water monthly.
It uses standard spin-on mounting that fits most marine filter heads. Filter heads vary between engines, so confirm your existing filter's thread size and gasket diameter before ordering.
It separates emulsified water at 99% efficiency and intercepts particles 10 micron and larger, protecting injectors and carburettors from contamination that causes poor combustion.
Open the drain valve at the base of the housing and drain into a suitable container when water reaches the indicated level. Monthly draining is the usual preventive interval.
Yes. It suits outboard and inboard engines running gasoline or diesel, diesel yacht auxiliary generators, and small gasoline engines and generators.
Description
10-micron filtration and water separation for marine fuel systems
The UF-10K is a spin-on fuel filter and water separator rated at 10 micron, built for outboard and inboard engines, yacht auxiliary generators and small gasoline engines. It retains particulate down to 10 micron and separates emulsified water before it reaches injectors and carburettors, which is where contaminated fuel does its damage. The housing is coated steel with marine-grade corrosion protection, and the base carries a drain valve for routine water removal.
Construction
- Media: high-efficiency cellulose and synthetic blend, rated 10 micron
- Water separation: separates emulsified water from the fuel stream at 99% efficiency
- Housing: coated steel with marine-grade corrosion resistance for salt air and spray exposure
- Anti-drainback valve: built in; keeps the filter and fuel line charged after shutdown to prevent dry starts
- Drain valve: located at the base of the housing for draining accumulated water without removing the filter
- Grip surface: textured body for hand installation and removal without tools
Fitment
- Outboard engines — gasoline and diesel
- Inboard engines — gasoline and diesel
- Yacht auxiliary generators — diesel
- Small engines and generators — gasoline
- Standard spin-on thread; fits most marine filter heads. Confirm your existing filter's thread size and gasket diameter before ordering.
Service interval
Replace every 100 operating hours or annually, whichever comes first. Shorten to quarterly in high-humidity environments or on older fuel tanks. Drain accumulated water from the base drain valve monthly as preventive maintenance.
Installation notes
- Remove the old filter by unscrewing counterclockwise.
- Apply a thin film of clean fuel to the new filter's gasket.
- Spin on clockwise until the gasket contacts the head, then tighten an additional 3/4 turn by hand. Do not use a wrench.
- Pre-fill the filter with clean fuel to reduce cranking time on first start.
- Prime the fuel system and check the gasket area for leaks before starting the engine.
