30 micron is a primary (first-stage) filtration rating. For engine-side fuel systems it should be paired with a finer secondary filter of 10 micron or less before the injection pump. For fuel dispenser and transfer pump duty it is the standard service rating.
The 1" NPT female ports are on the included cast-aluminum filter head. They mate with standard 1" NPT fuel plumbing used on transfer pumps, dispenser lines and bulk filtration skids.
