Perkins 403D/404D/1103 Pre-Fuel Filter Assembly 130306380, 100 Micron

It fits Perkins 403D-07, 403D-11, 404D-22, 1103A-33, 1103A-33T, 1103C-33 and 1103C-33T diesel engines. The same assembly is also sold under FG Wilson 0000000038 / 00000-00038 and 915-093.

It is a complete pre-fuel filter assembly: housing, 100 micron aluminum screen, clear nylon collection bowl, drain and air-bleed fitting. The screen is cleaned and reused rather than replaced.

The aluminum screen has no fixed replacement mileage; drain the bowl whenever water is visible and rinse the screen at each engine service. In dusty conditions or with high-water fuel, check it more often.

This is the first, coarse stage rated at 100 micron and sits upstream of the main filter. It removes water and larger debris so the finer main element only has to handle small particles.

It lets trapped air out of the housing when the fuel line is primed after cleaning the screen or after the engine has run out of fuel, which shortens cranking time.
