One nitrile O-ring is in the pack with the screw. It is the seal that sits against the housing, so it is replaced at the same time.
The plastic hex deforms as soon as it is tightened past hand torque, and it does not spring back. A 6061-T6 screw keeps its hex, and hand tightening is enough to seal it.
